Pricing

Grand Design Lofts offers a quotation based on a Guaranteed Fixed Price once your plans are completed, on the basis that the key elements of the design and specification remain unchanged by you, therefore eliminating the chance of any ‘hidden extras’.

Timing

We will give you a time plan before work starts. We only ever have a maximum of 3 projects on at any one time. Your project will be scheduled as a set block of time, with a start and completion date and we will work continuously through this period. Our loft conversions typically take 6 – 8 weeks and are then ready for ready for the interior decorating – i.e painting, flooring etc. We can supply and fit wooden flooring or wardrobes and organise any decorating and interior design services that may be required.

The team

From the outset you will be met by Managing Director Chris Hamer, who will be your point of contact and over see his team whilst building himself on site. With over 22 years of loft building experience Chris’s work is outstanding and his mission has always been to provide a seamless build and experience for each client. He will therefore be integral to your loft conversion and very much has a ‘hands on’ approach rather than taking a ‘project manager’ role.

All work is completed by quality tradesmen; our plumbers are Corgi Registered and we only use an approved electrician. We carry full public liability and employer’s liability insurance.

The team places great importance on their domestic skills too, laying dust-sheets and allocating time at the end of each day to clean up after themselves. We are keenly aware that we are working in your home.

Materials

As part of our commitment to the environment we will where appropriate specify materials which are both environmentally friendly and from a sustainable source. All materials used are to British standard. Selected timber will generally come from managed forests and insulations can be CFC free.
